CAIRNS FESTIVAL 2025 || The Music of Ennio Morricone: The Counterfeit

Gunslingers, bandidos, outlaws and the Wild West.The Counterfeit brings the golden age of Spaghetti Western cinema to life with a powerhouse performance of iconic Italian soundtracks from the greatest films of the 1960's - LIVE on stage!

Riding north of the border to make their Queensland debut, the full 10-piece posse (featuring the spellbinding voice of Freya Josephine Hollick) will saddle up for one-night only at Tanks Arts Centre, where the industrial oil tanker will deliver a romantic backdrop for the perfect cinematic showdown.

Showcasing two sets of legendary Spaghetti Western soundtracks from films such as 'The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly', 'A Fistful of Dollars', 'Once Upon a Time in the West' and 'The Mercenary' The Counterfeit will transport audiences to the dusty landscapes and dramatic showdowns of the Wild West - where heroes rise, villains fall, and Ennio Morricone's timeless soundscapes reign supreme.
